During unit 2, students will participate in class discussions, debates, & activities in order to 1.) help students become more comfortable with speaking to/in front of eachother, 2.)help students begin the cognitive processes of “thinking about their own thinking” & “communicating about their own communication” (metacognition/metacommunication), and 3.) demonstrate the inherent characteristics of group dynamics.
